Biomated Solutions services a wide variety of clients. Most work consists of a mixture of Hardware, Software, and Mechanical design. Project's range in size from multi-year development to next day quick turn solutions. Development of custom firmware utilizing the stm32 series of microcontroller's. All firmware is written in C and utilizes a wide array of communication protocols depending on the project most commonly SPI, I2C, UART, USB-CDC, and Modbus RTU. Development of embedded GUI's in PyQt5, QML, and Qt. Development of web interfaces in React with TypeScript and server's using Python. Electrical Design using OrCad for items ranging from PCB's to Control Cabinets and Cables. Mechanical Design using AutoDesk Inventor. Co-Founder

Designed REST API using Node.js, PostgreSQL with Postgis spatial extension and Redis. Developed User Interface for internal tooling with Reactjs for administrative tasks. Implemented monthly billing system using Stripe and email notification system using SendGrid. Developed microservices in both Haskell and Python for handling email notification system, billing, housing search suggestions, analytics, and various site cleanup operations, as well as image manipulation via sharp/NodeJS. Deployed docker containerized site on Digital Ocean with image storage using S3.

New Product Development Engineer

R&D engineer

Developed Control system in C on micro controller for Pulmonary and Abdominal Simulation device used for R&D and Competitive Marketing. Developed User Interface for Pulmonary and Abdominal Simulator in Python and C for control of embedded device over serial. Developed User Interface for viewing test results in Reactjs being served data from a Flask Rest API. Developed and Executed test protocols for various devices in Ethicon's medical device portfolio as well as designed fixtures in Solidworks for testing.

Full Stack Developer

Research Project

Helped delegate subprojects and managed progress in order to meet deadlines. Design of fixture for GAIT simulation on Stryker ExFix device for fatigue testing purposes. Software Design for PID controller and GUI design for GAIT simulator device. Design of Personalized GAIT force reader to fit GAIT cycle to simulate individuals GAIT patterns.

Process Engineer

Led effort to implement Training Within industry deployment of all manufacturing work instructions. Programmed a document tree in order to maintain accurate work instruction records. Improved processes with Taylor studies, Six Sigma, and LEAN techniques. Obtained TWI (Training within Industry) certification. Led many IQ’s, PQ’s, and OQ’s for various projects.

R&D Engineer

Designed Graphic User Interface in VB.Net allowing for touch screen control of a Hair Follicle Extraction unit. Developed an Arduino development board using C++ for control of relays and other control elements. Developed SolidWorks models for Meibomian eye patch design and prototype assembly.

Manufacturing Engineer

Used LEAN and Six Sigma techniques to obtain maximum efficiency of multiple product lines. Helped design metric monitoring devices, and various test equipment. More than doubled productivity of kitting procedure by utilizing Taylor studies. Conducted and planned protocol for multiple engineering studies to increase efficiency and determine root-cause analysis. Worked extensively with Supply Chain Management, Quality Control, and Incoming Quality Control for demand planning and preparation.
